Society of Urban Artists “Manifest” Prijedor  

Manifest Society works on promotion of cultural life of Prijedor and the whole region, together with organizations from RS, BiH, countries from former Yugoslavia and abroad. The aim of Manifest is to found a cultural center  where it's activists could work with artists from different fields (music, theater, film, video art, other visual arts, literature, poetry etc.) and promote their work on concerts, exhibitions, forums, welcoming guests from similar organizations that Manifest contacts through several networks. Society prepares an activation of magazine that would deal with issues of alternative culture.

History of Manifest includes:

 -»Rape the Music – Open Metal Festival«- Manifest and band »Seansa« were the initiators of  
   that event which was the first festival of that kind in the region of RS.
-  Video and sound processing and editing, activities on print and on-line fanzine, whose  
   orientation is to art and music, culture and subculture, production of artistic film and video  
   works. - Provision of premises for band rehearsals and concerts.  
-  Concert of Scandinavian musicians in Prijedor; band »Iris« and DJ Phonetic in November  
   2000, which was one of the first post-war appearances of foreign musicians in Prijedor.
-  Concert of »Astrud« and »Bronco Busters«, bands from Denmark and Norway, March 2001.
-  Appearance of techno group »Technokratia« in Prijedor together with the members of  
   Prijedor's techno underground, also in march 2001.
-  Joined concert of bands from Prijedor; Seansa, Flegma, Djeca u krizi, Volumen 4, in March  
   2001.
-  In 2002. Manifest has established a cooperation with Youth Partnership Program 
   (P.O.P) which led to a number of concerts of domestic and foreign bands.
-  Future projects include a provision of permanent facility for foundation of cultural and media   
   center.

 In 2002 Manifest has initiated a non-profit informational service "InfoMedia Project", in cooperation with  www.prijedor.rs.ba , Prijedor's official web site, on which InfoMedia Project presents daily updated information and news from the field of youth and civil initiatives, culture, non-governmental sector and international academic exchange.

On the level of BiH Manifest is connected with a number of organizations: »Geto« Banja Luka, »Blue Circle« Banja Luka, »Alterra« Banja Luka, »Rock«  Bugojno, »Tuzla Live« Tuzla, »Agonized« Tuzla, »Alternativni institut« Mostar. With these organizations Manifest shares the ideas on improvement of cultural life. The most important aspect is the cooperation with Youth Partnership Program (P.O.P) which has provided contact with youth organizations from country and abroad.

On the level of former Yugoslavia Manifest is connected with: Youth organization »Orlando« Dubrovnik, »Mocvara« Zagreb, »Darkwood Dub« Beograd, »CRASH« Zagreb, »Exit« Novi Sad, Students' Union of Novi Sad University, »Multimedia Art Centre« in Skoplje. With those organizations Manifest cooperates in order to find the best solutions for common problems.
